outwitted

a few months ago, i got my hands on a big roll of this cool vintage fabric. it’s called “outwitted”, designed for sears by lawrence peabody.

outwitted!

lawrence peabody studied interior architecture at rhode island school of design, graduating in 1950. he went on to study at the royal academy of fine arts in copenhagen.

“Peabody, one of the most prominent home furnishings designers of the last half of the 20th century, had a career that encompassed the full range of home furnishings including furniture, fabric, rugs, bath products and accents.”-Home Accents Today, 12/2002

i have paired it with a coordinating print of my own to make some super fun and optically intriguing skirts. coming really really soon!

Lawrence Peabody was my grandfather. I was overwhelmed and touched to see that his designs are out there and people are appreciating them. I will keep looking back to see the fantastic designs you come up with!
